CHRISTMAS TIME!

Christmas is a magical time. I always spend it with my family. In a few days  we will feel this wonderful atmosphere. I hope that it will be snowing because for me it is also an integral part of Christmas. Unfortunately, I can not remember the last time we saw snow for more than a week ;(

This feast day is so important for me , I always wait for it impatiently.

Regardless of genesis, Christmas  is a very popular and well liked, even among the religious minorities in Poland. Christmas holidays in Poland have a very long tradition, which consists of a lot of customs.

I am impatient to go to Christmas midnight mass too :)

Merry Christmas everyone!

We live in an era in which depression is nothing new or unusual. Unfortunately, stress is one of the factors that have an influence on it. I would like to present to you some simple advice on how to combat stress.

1) Laugh often and loudly. If you do not have a sense of humor, find someone who has it. Laughter releases endorphins (happiness hormones).
2)Do not rush. You'll be able to cope with stress, if you start to manage your time wisely. Remember to always leave yourself time to unforeseen events.
3)Get ready for the next day. In the evening pack to work (school), prepare yourself clothes etc.
4)We should try eliminating stressful situations from our lives. Think what situation it can be.
5)Select a form of sport that makes you happy and exercise!

It is not difficult so if you have bad days do not sit idly :)

St. Nicholas' Day.
It is a holiday celebrated every year on 6th December. The name of this winter festival comes precisely from the holy Bishop Nicholas of Myra, who died on December 6.
St. Nicholas shared his fortune with the poor, without revealing their identity. he offered a dowry to poor virgins,  beggars received food. He always helped at night, to avoid being recognized.
According to the Anglo-Saxon legends, St Nicholas drops by window  into houses and apartments at night. He leaves gift, providing that the shoes are clean. If your boots are dirty, he will leave there a rotten potato :)
At home, the family members give each other small gifts. On the night of 5 to 6 December gifts are putted into the shoe, under the pillow, and according to the American tradition for Christmas socks hung on the fireplace or next to the bed.
And you? Are you celebrating St. Nicolas' Day?
